What is Fibre Optic Internet?

Fibreworks brings high bandwidth services into your home with a Fibre solution that holds many advantages over a traditional copper cabling system; most notably, the fibre cables connected to your house allow you to receive speeds of up to 100Mbps.

What are the Peak and Off Peak Times?

Fibreworks does not have Peak and Off Peak data usage; you can use 100% of your data usage at any time throughout the month.

Does my Data Allowance include Uploads and Downloads?

Yes, your allowance includes both uploads and downloads.

What are the Download/Upload speeds available?

Up to 100Mbps download speed, 40Mbps upload speed. Speeds could be limited somewhat in certain locations.

Will I be charged excess fees if I exceed my monthly data allowance?

No charges will be given for exceeding your monthly data allowance.

What is the Shaping Speed?

If a customer goes over their allocated data usage, the Internet will be shaped to a speed of 256K/256K.

Instead of the Fibreworks router, can I use equipment I already own?

You can use the router you already own, however the Fibreworks technical support teams will only provide support for routers that are supplied by Fibreworks.

How can i change ownership on my account?

What payment options do Fibreworks have?

All new customers are required to pay for their Fibreworks services by Automatic Direct Debit from their credit card or bank account. To set up an automatic payment please download and complete our Direct Debit request form. Your service will be activated once the completed form is processed by our team.

How can I monitor my data usage?

Sign into the ‘My Account’ section and search your data. In addition, we will email you usage notifications within 48 hours of a customer reaching 50%, 85% and 100% of the included data allowance.

If I choose a plan that is too big for me, can I downgrade?

If you select NO contract when applying for Fibreworks services, you will be able to downgrade your plan at a cost of $49.00 per downgrade.

If you select a 12 or 18 month contract term when applying for Fibreworks services, you will be able to downgrade your plan; however, this will involve payment of a downgrade fee. This fee is calculated by multiplying the difference between your original plan and the downgraded plan by the amount of months remaining on your contract. For example, if you chose to downgrade your plan from $69 a month to $59 a month with 8 months of your contract remaining, you would be charged a downgrade fee of $80.00 ($10.00 x 8).
